Log Homes are not constructed like the traditional houses that you may be living in currently, as they are made from either milled or hand crafted douglas fir or western red cedar. They are harder to put together, so this is not an over night process.

Think about the look and style that you want; are you taking into account how many bedrooms or do you want a top floor which is open to below, or a huge wall of windows to allow the maximum of light inside, 2 garages or possibly a wrap-around deck.
