FISHING INFORMATION

Current conditions are a result of some heavy rains melting off some significant snow accumulations from earlier in the month of January. Local waterways, including the Fraser, are at higher than normal levels. With some drier weather patterns, we should see the rivers drop and clear up somewhat.

Fishery options include some sturgeon fishing, specifically juvenile sturgeon for the purpose of tagging and data collection (see In Season offerings), steelhead and cutthroat trout.

The juvenile tagging fishery is done on the Fraser river and utilizes the jetboat, while steelhead and some cutthroat trips are done on foot.

As the days start getting a little longer, we will be able to access other fisheries that provide excellent trout and char opportunities, particularly on the fly.
